Jenn: 2 Skirts, 1 Fabric
August 04, 2013

As mentioned in my previous post, I was working on an asymmetrical skirt for the last project of my sewing course. I actually ended up making two skirts from this pretty mint textured fabric I purchased from Dressew. The first one I made was an elastic waist skirt. I love the way this one comes out in all directions and is super fun and flirty. I paired it with a white detailed blouse from Topshop and some neutral wedges.

The second skirt I made was initially inspired by those Zara asymmetrical skorts that everyone has! I was then drawn towards asymmetrical wrap skirts and was quickly obsessed with them. This lead me to these awesome DIY instructions by Cotton and Curls. Her instructions are really easy to follow and I really love how my skirt turned out! I love how sleek and modern it looks and so I paired it with a white peplum and a new pair of sandals I bought on my day trip to Seattle yesterday. I haven’t bought a pair of shoes in a while, and these were definitely love at first sight. I couldn’t resist!

I’m still not sure which skirt I like better… Let me know what you all think! I hope to make some more real soon and I think Romel will be working on some sweet asymmetrical tees. I realize we haven’t been blogging as much as we’d like (which is always the case), but we’re hoping to improve that by designating some blogging time each week. Please be patient with us and keep checking the blog or our Instagram to stay updated.

Have a happy long weekend friends!
